This is a new song on his debut album - it's not out yet but I wanted to put this out there so I wouldn't have to do it again from scratch when the official lyrics come out. There's a music video clip out but I haven't heard the whole song. Everything but the chorus (3rd stanza) sounds iffy so take it with a grain of salt.

First Snow
...This snow is piling up and covering only two people... )

Hallucination
...This is a hallucination...The usual hallucination... )

Last Snow
...This snow is piling up and covering the entire world... )

LMAO at the weird use of quotation marks.

Mr.“Broken Heart”
...My tears can't even convey my regrets... )

New PSC band. They're very talented and their vocalist can actually sing! Can I get a HOO-HAA! for talented bands? I'm enjoying their musc so far. Hopefully they continue to make good music.

Take-off
...Will I continue to fade... )

This song has the best guitar solo out of all the songs I've heard recently.

W.B.A (Wing Broken Angel)
...Please, take me there with you... )

J-ギルド
...Have I become one of society's pawns... )

The unofficial sixth member of GazettE finally came out with her own official shit, FINALLY! Yes, GazettE's token female backup singer is finally getting her chance to shine. I'm not sure if she has the star presence to gain the sort of fame that her idol Namie Amuro has but she's definitely one talented tiny person.

Aigoo, this song was hard to translate - a lot of ambiguous sentences and phrasing. I had to add some notes just to clarify things. I was listening to the Autumn Ballad version of this song and it seems Hiromi changed some of the lyrics in the last verse but I can't make out what she actually sings.

愛されたい
...I only want one thing... )

My Everything
...Who should I call when I can't sleep at night?... )

I was planning to post this on my personal journal but decided to post it here instead since this blog does deal more directly with the Japanese language. So I thought I'd turn it into a short and simple lesson.

Sorry for the lack of translations. I graduated from college (WOOT! FREE AT LAST BABY!) in June and have been getting some much deserved R&R. For those who don't know I was attending Carleton College in Northfield, MN and it was a bitch of a school. I worked my ass off for four years and now I can rest - until I find a job that is. Basically big big changes occurring in my life that have gotten in the way of my translating - now back to the point of this post.

She‘s crazy for my lies
Scanlators: Nagareboshi & Manga Abyss

I recently stumbled upon this manga called カノジョは嘘を愛しすぎてる (Kanojo wa uso wo aishisugiteru). I was a bit confused that the group who's translating it were translating the title as "Sweetheart I lied about loving you" which is completely different from what I thought the title actually translated to:

カノジョ = noun: girl, woman, she, her
は = particle: subject marker, in this case, indicates that "she" is the topic of the sentence
嘘 = noun: lies
を = particle: direct object indicator, in this case, connects the verb to the object
愛し = verb: from 愛する, to love
すぎ = from すぎる, attached to the verb, indicates "too much" of something
てる = from ている, attached to the verb + すぎ, describes a continuing action, as opposed to です which indicates something that happens once

This is why I love the Japanese language so much. You can say so much in just a few words. The literal translation of the title would be "She continues to love my lies too much" which doesn't sound so pretty and is a mouthful so I would simplify it to "She loves my lies" but then you lose a lot of the meaning from the Japanese version. Maybe I’m just too literal of a translator and the scanlators wanted to go with a more poetic translation that would better fit the original meaning of the title. But I still like my version best so that’s what I’ll be calling it in my head :P

I‘ve included a little bit of spoilers on 4 chapters I‘ve read so far if you‘re interested… )

After some searching I found this blog entry (http://shocomi.blog111.fc2.com/blog-entry-1174.html) that has a picture (I'm guessing from more recent editions of the manga itself) that translates the title as "She is crazy for the lie." Engrishy but a much more accurate translation of the title that manages to capture the Japanese meaning.

I love how Ryoga uses Japanese to express his contempt of the girl in this song and English to express his love for her. Very effective use of the two languages - it's not just random English to sound cool.

felony
...It doesn't matter if it was a fake love... )

涙彩の花
...I want it to reach you, So I'll sing 'La la la'... )

Yay I finally found the lyrics for this song. Would have transcribed it myself but Ryoga sings too fast @_@ And it was a surprisingly easy translation this time \^_^/

春煌花 -SAKURA-
...as the fleeting spring flowers flutter about... )

Tragedy
...good bye I love you baby... )

I don't know what's up with Yusa, but I always have difficulties with his lyrics. It's like he purposefully omits pronouns and such to make me work harder. I know that some parts (like "inside the inside of your eyes", wtf!) sound awkward in English but I wanted to kept my translation close to the original lyrics to best convey Yusa's message.

4F9
...If you've said Goodbye to Goodbyes, then come back... )

I seriously love this song. When Hizumi gets to the "Brand New Days" part, I'm like in spiritual jrock heaven. It's absolutely ACE! And the performance on the SPIRAL STAIRCASE DVD ~ squeetastic! I didn't realize Karyu sang back up O_O His voice sounds awesome with HIzumi's! But I seriously want to have all their babies after watching that live, seriously, ALL of their babies even though HIZUMI is still my number one.

ANGELDUST
...I'm just falling with you... )

I'm really happy about this new album, it sounds like the D'espas I know and love ~ the mature version. The melody in this song is surprising and absolutely beautiful.

琥珀
...Carve the sadness deep into my body... )

I want to be Hizumi's vampire bride....le sigh....

Marry of the blood - D'espairsRay
...Loving you repeatedly with these fangs... )

Not sure what the title is referring to but this is interesting coming from D'espas.

PARADOX 5
...You fall from the moon and pour down to the ground alongside the rain... )

OIC, it's about vampires. How did I not get this when I first read the lyrics XD

Screen
...no more pain left to feel... )

I have a new replacement since Se7en is dead to me now. XD

Always

...Till you wanna come to me... )

Very easy to translate - most of it was in English!

Reason to believe
...The very soul of me... )
